House of Voltaire Melbourne, 2016

House of Voltaire's first Australian shop was located at 74 Collins Street, Melbourne and open to the public from 14-24 July 2016. On sale were unique artworks, limited edition clothing, objects and homewares made by world renowned contemporary artists and designers, including a capsule collection launching exclusively for Melbourne.

New items included: a large-scale tapestry by Australian artist David Noonan; limited edition lambswool blankets by Parisian artist Camille Henrot; colour block ceramics by kaleidoscopic fashion designer Roksanda; limited edition rugs by Melbourne’s favourite duo P.A.M; sculptures by Sydney-based artist Hany Armanious; slogan t-shirts and sweaters by Australian artist Tom Polo; and hand knitted sweaters by April Crichton and Nicolas Party.

House of Voltaire also presented our most sought after items including; limited edition silk tops by Roksanda & Eva Rothschild; slogan sweatshirts by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller; hand-tinted etchings by Pablo Bronstein; limited edition photographs by Simone Rocha & Kim Gordon; Nicole Eisenman woodblock prints; appliqué cardigans by Peter Jensen & Ella Kruglyanskaya; blankets by Turner Prize-nominee Helen Marten; cashmere scarves by Peter Pilotto & Francis Upritchard; embroidered shirts by Christopher Shannon & Leslie Winer; Scottish wool sweaters and scarves by SIBLING & Jim Lambie; and framed print portfolios by Matt Connors. 

As well as limited edition multiples, House of Voltaire offer edunique artworks including works by; Luc Tuymans, Rosemarie Trockel, Turner-Prize nominee Michael Dean, Eddie Peake, Enrico David, Steven Claydon, Peter Blake and Francesco Vezzoli. 

House of Voltaire Melbourne also housed an exclusive restaurant in-store, hosted by former Attica chef Peter Gunn, offering a chef’s table for lunch and dinner reservations each day. House of Voltaire Melbourne, 2016 was supported by partners QIC Global Real Estate and Farfetch.
